How Avtaarana
came to be
After more than 16 years in the corporate world, Arunanshu watched colleagues carry quiet anxiety - the guilt of living far from aging parents who needed company, not just care.
Inspired by the warmth of 1980s family life he grew up with, Arunanshu realised there was something deeply missing: a trusted companion who could go to the market with an elderly parent, sit with them at a doctor's visit, or simply be present to listen.
In 2014, he founded Avtaarana - a Sanskrit word meaning "God sent", one who descends to help. Based in Kolkata, Avtaarana has since become a name families trust to care for those who raised them.
